Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures

Heh... well everyone has disappeared! dove, ductape, poco and whoever else. Okay, so that's not quite everyone, but still.

I happen to know that no one can resist the bleating baby tapir siren though, so...

Hi Nanette,

That's an alarmingly cute bleating baby tapir siren.

I really hope DTF turns up soon: I miss him a great deal. I miss poco too, which reads like an afterthought but is not.

Very slowly starting to write again, but nothing is completed let alone fit for other people's eyes yet. Slowly being the operative word in that sentence. Edging my way out from immersion in non-linguistic data-set peering and number-crunching mode, which I sometimes find very useful for preserving some vague semblance of stability. Something seems to have been in the air around about lately and alas I have not been immune.

But I have been reading some fabulous things, which I want to start writing back to (though I'm not sure what I have to say actually adds anything except an instruction to 'hie thee to the bookstore.')

Anyway, here's hoping DTF and poco reemerge

Yay! Hi dove,

I hope he turns up soon too. He does tend to take off and only let us know he's gone when he gets back, though. poco needs to peek in too.

I won't say that non-linguistic data-set peering and number crunching sounds interesting... but if it's useful then it's all good.

I'll be anxious to see what you are writing, but take your time of course. I've not been writing anything either, sadly, even tho I have great plans. I'm sure you'll have lots to add when talking back to what you are reading, or at least I hope so, as some of us might not make it to the bookstore.

Anyway, mostly people just need to say hi from time to time, and then there is no need for the siren!

Good to know you're still around, Dove!!!!!!!!
